SANDRA: And when I go to the mirror I talked to it! I’d say I command you! Because when I came out of there my nose was sitting over here. My face was lopsided. I could only talk out of a corner of my mouth. I could only talk like that. That’s all I could do. That’s all I could do! Now I’m a preacher. I have a “Healing Explosion” ten days after this happened! In ten days I had a “Healing Explosion.” Anyway, I stood up and said okay, everybody look! And I’m talking like this at a “Healing Explosion.” I did it. I did it. And I’m a “whosever going after my whatsoever! And I’ve got to get that whatsoever out of the way.”

PAT: A whosoever going after your whatsoever?

SANDRA: Absolutely! And on the other side of that whatsoever, honey, my mountain, you know?

PAT: Yeah!

SANDRA: Is my healing! And I began to speak and that lip moved. But it didn’t move much. It didn’t move much. So I kept, I kept looking and when I go back to the doctor all he would say to me is what are you doing? What are you doing? And I say. And of course he didn’t much want to hear it but he kept saying do what you’re doing. Long story short I kept speaking to it. Kept poking on it. Turning it. Telling it to do what it’s supposed to do. To this day I’ve never had anything done!   

PAT: And you’ve got a beautiful smile!

SANDRA: Thank you! Thank you! [Laughs]

PAT: And we’re going to come back in just a moment but I want you when you come back to speak to those that are waiting!

SANDRA: Amen!

PAT: And even understanding that sometimes [Music] healing’s not instantaneous.

SANDRA: Oh!

PAT: It’s a journey.

SANDRA: It’s a journey. Uh-huh!

PAT: It’s a process. It’s a declaration!

SANDRA: Uh-huh!

PAT: Hey! We’re going to be right back with Pastor Sandra! Get ready cause God’s going to do miracles in your homes!

PAT: Welcome back to “Something More!” We are with Pastor Sandra! She wrote “The Simplicity of Healing” and God uses her and her team to see miracles! You know what, folks? If you’re watching right now I want you to prepare yourself cause in just a minute the Spirit of the Lord is going to enter into your home! We believe we’re going to get reports of people being miraculously healed!

SANDRA: Yes!

PAT: You know a while back my wife got a report from the doctor about cancer.

SANDRA: Uh-huh.

PAT: She came home. She had gone to the doctor. It was just a regular checkup. The doctor said you’ve got cancer. 

SANDRA: Uh-huh.

PAT: She came home. I was up in my prayer room working on a book. And the Spirit of the Lord said, “go downstairs.” I went downstairs and she’s standing in the middle of the living room worshipping! For the next three days, we bragged on God!

SANDRA: Uh-huh!

PAT: For the next three days we praised! 

SANDRA: Uh-huh.

PAT: Her report came back later. There is no cancer!

SANDRA: There is no cancer.

PAT: The doctor said there was but now there’s not!

SANDRA: Uh-huh!

PAT: But I want you to talk to the ones out there because you weren’t instantly healed.

SANDRA: Uh-uh.

SANDRA: You got the same Holy Ghost! All right. Now let me say this to you. Then I’m want to say something I’m thinking about cause I love telling a little story that Sid was talking about. She made her way through the crowd and not only is Jesus walking with the ruler of the synagogue who has the right to stone her. So she’s walking right there. He’s walking with the person. She didn’t turn and run. She just did what she said she was going to do. It wasn’t any big deal whatsoever. She made up her mind what it would take. What she would do to get this from Jesus. You must make up your mind what it is! What do you need? What will you do? What will you believe? When my dog bit my lip off a good number of years ago and bit off from right here over to here. And it was an accident and took off this whole top part of this lip on this side. And when I rushed to the hospital and I didn’t know the lip was gone. It was too much blood. I didn’t know it was gone. But anyway when I got in there the first thing they said to me was where is your lip? I mean – you know that wasn’t very good –     

AUDIENCE: [Laughter]

SANDRA: To hear. I didn’t even know what he was talking about. And then he said you have to have a plastic surgeon. I didn’t know any plastic surgeons. I mean now I wish I did! But at that point –

AUDIENCE: [Laughter]

SANDRA: At that point, I didn’t know one. And so anyway they told me a good plastic surgeon. A long story short he came. The first thing he said to me was you know this can’t be fixed! He said you’ll never be able to smile again. You’ll never be able to because we’ve got to cut it. Pull it over. It did exactly what I just showed you. My nose came over here. It moved it all the way over. I could speak out of a little corner of my mouth right here. And I had a healing explosion ten days from after it happened!

AUDIENCE: Mmm!

SANDRA: And I went on and did the healing explosion. I could not talk like this. This is the way I talked. I couldn’t say anything but a “puh” sound to it. “Puh” sound to it. So when I went, when I went to him, to the doctor and again he had to cut it and sew it up and said it would take 3 to 6 more surgeries before you’ll ever be normal but you’ll never be able to smile again. And so long story short I went home and got and you might want to do something like this. I got a pile of pictures. I mean as many as I could get, of me with the prettiest smile you have ever seen in your life, honey! And I put them everywhere! I put them over my mirrors. I put them over on the kitchen cabinets. I put pictures everywhere! I’m a pastor so they had lots of pictures of me. So I put them everywhere and then every time I’d come by a mirror I’d speak to that lip! “I command you shape up and look like that!” “I command you!” Because they had already told me it was impossible! I had already been told it was impossible and nothing’s impossible with God! I said. “I command you! I command you! I command you!” I went into that healing explosion. Got in the healing explosion.

Sid Roth: So you’re saying if we repent,

we still don’t have the ability to get rid of that habit.

Katie Souza: Well, here’s why I that.

Sid Roth: But the grace …

Katie Souza: Grace is like an umbrella.

Sid Roth: … is the miracle.

Katie Souza: Yeah.

See, it’s like we’re building a divine protection,

a divine canopy of protection against the enemy.

Sid Roth: ….the grace can’t come in if you don’t repent.

Katie Souza: That’s right.

You have to do grace and repentance.

There’s a scripture in Matthew 5:4 that talks about when.

We will receive and be refreshed by God’s grace when we mourn

over our sins and repent.

Our repentance release grace.

So when we repent of our sins, it dismisses our law-breaking.

When we release grace, it causes this Holy Spirit bubble to come

around us that the enemy cannot penetrate.

So he can not continue to keep on accusing us of our

law-breaking in order to put the spirit of death to work

in our bodies.

Sid Roth: Now did the spirit of death just leave?

What happened to all these conditions that were going on in

your life?

Katie Souza: As I kept on with just getting in the presence of

Jesus, just worshiping him, his authority over death began to be

released.

Any time I messed up, I went right away to repent so that my

lawlessness would be dismissed.

As I did that and kept on decreeing grace scriptures,

it’s like I built a thicker and thicker bubble of divine

protection around me.

Then one by one, step by step, death started to withdraw his

actions, his operation in my body,

on my ministry, on my marriage, on every part of my life.

Pretty soon, everything was being systematically restored.

I was starting to get younger, starting to feel better.

My marriage got better and better.

Our finances….

Sid Roth: What do you mean by younger?

Katie Souza: Younger.

I see people today …

In fact, I just went in and saw my facialist for the first time

in years.

I don’t get professional things done to me anymore,

because I’m waiting for that supernatural …

I’m relying on the supernatural, and that’s what’s happening.

I walked in to see her the other day,

because I thought, well, maybe I’ll get a little facial before

I go to Sid’s.

She looked at me.

She goes, “I can’t believe it.”

I said, “What?”

She goes, “You look so much younger than you did even 10

years ago when I first met you.”

I said, “It’s the Lord.

It’s the Lord.”

Sid Roth: You know, one of the things that …

You’re hearing this, and you’re questioning it.

I was amazed at the scriptures you found to support what

you’re saying.

Tell us a couple.

Katie Souza: Well, here’s the thing.

Jesus, he defeated death.

Grace defeats death and repentance.

There’s a story in Job 33.

You and I talked about it.

You said you love this scripture of this guy.

He’s so sick.

It says he’s in continual pain on his bed.

His bones are sticking out.

His flesh is clinging to his body.

The Bible tells us why this was happening to him.

In that Job 33 scriptures, it says that he was under the

assault of the quote inflictors of death,

the destroyers.

So it was death that was doing that to him,

the spirit of death.

Okay?

So what does God do about it?

Next verses, it says, “Then God is gracious to him.”

Gracious.

That’s the power of grace.

“For he has said, ‘Deliver this man from the pit.

I have given him an atonement, a price of redemption and a

sacrifice'”.

That’s Jesus.

“‘Because of that, then his flesh shall become fresher than

a child’s and he shall return to the days of his youth.'”

SHAWN: And that’s when they raised the lady from the dead!

JAMIE: The irony of this on Easter!

SHAWN: Yes, on Easter!

JAMIE: On Easter!

SHAWN: That was the crazy thing about it! As a matter of fact, we had a second, testimony. I was on the phone with a pastor lady and she was there with her relative and he was in a hospital and the guy next to him died for like 30 minutes. He coded. Flatlined. They called it. I told her to put me on the speaker phone. So when she put me on the speaker phone, I said, “I command his spirit, to come back into his body right now!” The man got up!

JAMIE: Phew!

SHAWN: He received a heartbeat and the man was raised from the dead! The nurse came back to the pastor lady and said this was a miracle because it went past the protocol time of what we do to resuscitate a person! 

JAMIE: Whoa!

SHAWN: Yes.

JAMIE: Okay. Death and life are in the power –  

SHAWN: In the power of the tongue!

JAMIE: Yes!

SHAWN: Yes. The prophetic tongue! Because see you got to remember that when God gives you this supernatural faith it’s God speaking through you from heaven! Because just a regular idle word is not going to get it! But it’s through the prophetic, unction of when you speak something; things come to fruition!

JAMIE: Wow!

SHAWN: You know it removes time from when that person used to be alive and brings it back into the present!

JAMIE: Okay. So now you receive the word. You spoke the word.

SHAWN: Yes.

JAMIE: It’s like a ripple of miracles!

SHAWN: Yes! Yes!

JAMIE: Okay. Now, this is what’s so fascinating to me, Shawn. Because what we see – I see this over and over again instinctually. I’m just discovering it in the word. 

SHAWN: Yeah.

JAMIE: Right. But it’s as if God gives you download and the bridge between that invisible reality and the manifestation –

SHAWN: Right.

JAMIE: Of the word is what you speak.

SHAWN: What you speak.

JAMIE: How do you – I mean is there a – when you’re articulating what it is that God is saying –

SHAWN: Yes.

JAMIE: Right. Is it a declarative thing or how would you know posture that in your words?

SHAWN: Well it is a declaration. When you move in declaration you get in a position of a person of authority! You become a royal priesthood.

JAMIE: Wow!

SHAWN: You begin to speak from a kingly authority, not just a priestly authority. See priests just pray, but kings we slay!

JAMIE: Come on! [laughs]

SHAWN: So we learn how to speak from an authority realm so when I make a declaration I’m stamping the approval of God upon that situation. That means that that decree will go forward and it will be established in the realm of the earth! So once I speak that declaration automatically it’s done! It becomes a law and it cannot be changed!

JAMIE: So you say in your decree this shall be?

SHAWN: This shall be.

JAMIE: This will come to pass?

SHAWN: Yes. That’s a prophetic declaration! Many people think about the prophetic as just telling the future or maybe dwelling in the past through words of knowledge. But when you can speak a right now word, an n-o-w word, a right now word, no opportunity wasted you want it done now! When a king declares something he wants it done right there immediately! 

ART: So April 2011 I’m healed of a degenerative disc disease. And I started healing ministry in August 2009 so for a year and a half I’m suffering. I’m taking vicodin to survive watching other people’s degenerative discs get healed. You know?

JAMIE: Right.

ART: But the good news is like God formed my theology of healing in the midst of that! Like I had to push through what I was experiencing and say I’m not going to let – I’m not going to be a disciple of disappointment or else all I’m going to be able to do is reproduce disappointment!

JAMIE: Mmm!

ART: I’m not supposed to learn from the downside. Fix your mind on things above not on earthly things.

JAMIE: Yeah.

ART: You know the degenerative discs that was an earthly thing so I wasn’t going to learn from that. Fix your eyes on Jesus! Be His disciple and you’ll reproduce Jesus.  

JAMIE: Wow! Okay. So you’re saying that as we look to Jesus there’s healing.

ART: Bingo!

JAMIE: Right. There’s healing in Jesus. Do you believe that that same – the same – I guess the same covenantal promises that are for forgiveness of sin are also healing the sick?

ART: Oh yeah! When the paralyzed man’s lowered through the roof at the feet of Jesus and He says son, your sins are forgiven and then He looks at the crowd and He’s like I know you don’t believe that can happen, right? But to prove to you that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins get up, take your mat and walk. If forgiveness and healing were not based on the same thing then that would not have been proof!

JAMIE: Wow! This is fascinating. I think this is really next level stuff because there’s got to be a connection between forgiveness and healing!

ART: Yeah!

JAMIE: Hey look! We’re with Art Thomas here talking about healing. I’m going to ask him a question about forgiveness and the connection between that and healing in our next segment! You don’t want to miss this because there’s something there for breakthrough for you! JAMIE: Welcome back! Jamie Galloway here. I’ve got Art Thomas! We’re talking about healing and I have something super interesting to ask him because I feel so many people miss this! Luke 17.

ART: Uh-huh.

JAMIE: His disciples, Jesus’s disciples – you know they’re coming to Him and they ask Him how does He do these miracles? You know how? And Jesus says this interesting thing. You know if you have the faith as a mustard seed. Right? If you have faith you could cast this mountain you know right here into the sea!

ART: Huh!

JAMIE: But what’s interesting to me we all apply that to miracles but they’re actually if you back it up just a little bit they’re actually asking about forgiveness.

ART: Hmm!

JAMIE: And it’s a weird thing because so many of us struggle with forgiveness like it’s a big mountain in our life.

ART: [laughs]

JAMIE: And we need faith.

ART: Yeah.
