Our Guest Kim Meeder
SID: Let me take you back. Your first face to face encounter with our Messiah, Jesus.
KIM: I encountered Jesus Christ for the first time when I was nine years of age. And on that day, I went to my grandparent’s house and the house was full of all these grieving people and everyone was weeping, and I was pushed into the arms of someone I didn’t know and they were crying so hard and they just kept saying, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry. I don’t know how to tell you this. Your father has just murdered your mother and taken his own life. I’m sorry.” And I remember thinking, “You’re a liar!” And I popped out of this woman’s arms and ran out the door in this child’s effort to outrun the unthinkable, and ran and ran until there was nothing left and just fell down in the dirt, and I was gasping and crying and inhaling dirt and retching, and I could hear my voice start to cry out, “Jesus, help me, Jesus, help me. I need you now. Jesus, will you help me?” I didn’t even know who Jesus was. I wasn’t raised in the church. I’d only been to church twice that I can remember and–
SID: But why did you call out to him then?
KIM: Because Romans 1 is true, and within the heart of every man, there lies that place that we were intended to know him. It doesn’t matter who you are, how you were raised, or what culture you’re from. When our heart is being crushed, we know intuitively to turn to the one who made that heart because we know he’s the only one who can heal and restore it.
SID: And what happened to that broken heart, and you cried out to Jesus. What happened?
KIM: Romans 10:13 is true, and that simply says that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. The salvation is as near as your lips and your heart, a few verses above that, and that if you speak with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that he is the son of God and came to this earth, you will be saved. And I didn’t know any of that. All I knew was that in that moment I was no longer alone. The Lord of all creation had just knelt in the dirt beside a breaking child and took the hand that was reaching out to him. And my Jesus has never let go. Not then, not now, not ever.
SID: You use terminology that I don’t hear frequently used about God. You call him your wild God. What do you mean by wild God?
KIM: I love what he has made and I’m a wilderness girl, and I’ve spent a lot of time in his creation and who God is and what he does cannot be contained or confined. God is unfathomable. He’s uncontainable, he’s untamable. He’s wild and he never asks us to fully understand him because we can’t. But what he does ask us to do is to fully trust him, to move beyond what we understand, beyond our humanity, beyond our logic, beyond our education and all of our experiences, and as women certainly beyond our emotions, and step through that veil of humanity into the deep water that is the very presence of the living God and in this place is where we encounter the wildness that is his presence and it’s where he wants us to live.
SID: You also talk about wild simplicity. Explain that.
KIM: I heard a beloved African pastor once say so beautifully that the spirit of the living God, the Holy Spirit is like a great mighty river. You do not tell the river where to flow, don’t, don’t. Instead you jump in and you go where he takes you. And for us to follow the Lord, we can’t understand God, and what he is is so much bigger than what we can fathom. But what he’s calling us to do is so simple. Follow the one who knows the way. Pray, listen and do what he says. And this is the wild simplicity of our God. Anyone, anyone who calls Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and their Messiah can pray and listen and follow his voice.
KIM: Let me tell you what I mean. I’m learning how to just follow him where he wants to go. And recently I was teaching a large women’s conference and in between somebody ran up to me, reached over all these women and said, “My friend doesn’t think she can come. Can you sign her book?” And I started to sign it and was just stopped by the Holy Spirit. And my favorite prayer is, Holy Spirit lead me. And what I started to write was the dumbest poem you have ever heard in your life.
SID: Is that what you were thinking when you wrote it?
KIM: I’m writing to a woman I’ve never met, “I love you more than all the stars in the sky. I love you more than all the sand in the sea.”
SID: Did you want to find a rock and crawl under it?
KIM: Oh, my goodness. I’m like, “Lord, you got to be kidding me. This is awful. I don’t even know this woman. She’s going to think I’m an idiot.” I love you more than all the sand in the sea, and all this love together, it’s the love we share, you and me.
SID: This is a total stranger.
KIM: Yes. And I’m like, “Oh my gosh, this is the most gag-atrocious poem in the world and it makes me want to barf in my mouth a little bit.” God bless you. Love, Kim. Here’s some verses to encourage you. And I hand it to this lady and she grabs it and I hold on like, “I can still rip out that page,” and I let the book go and I think, “Oh, Lord, I just made a fool out of you and me.” And God, he’s so funny and he’s such a good dad. And he said, “I’m God. You can’t make a fool out of me. How about if you just own your pride?” Dang it. It’s still in there. And so I confessed my pride, taught the conference. At the end of the conference, there’s a long line of women and it’s bending to the left and there’s a woman at the very end, and she’s destroyed.
KIM: So she comes up to me and she’s holding her fist under her chin and she’s just full body tremors, and I can see at that point she’s holding a book to her chest, and she grabs the cover and opens it and it’s the horrible poem book. And my first thought was, “Yeah, it really is that bad. It kind of made me cry a little too.” And she starts to point at it. She can barely speak. And then she says, “How did you know? How did you know, Kim? You could not know this. This is what my mom used to pray over me every night when I was a child, and my mom just died and I’m so lost without her, and I’ve been begging Jesus, if you’re real or you see my pain, will you let me know in a way that I know that it’s you and that I can trust you with my life? And now I know. Now I know.”
KIM: People, if you want to experience the wild simplicity of serving and following our Lord, ask him. Ask him, follow him where he wants to go. Pray, listen, and just do what he says.
SID: This is how kind of perspective works. Sometimes we only see part of the picture. Give me a real life example of that.
KIM: As I said before, I love the wilderness and I spend a lot of time in the high country, and I think it would be like viewing an avalanche from a distance. And when you’re a safe distance away, there’s nothing more beautiful and powerful, but to be caught in an avalanche, you would have a completely different perspective. Senseless pain only exists on this side of heaven. God’s plan always makes sense to him.
KIM: Case in point, we rescue horses and a while back we had rescued two young horses, and on their reentry into a herd, this horse had a catastrophic injury. She fell and I heard bones break. And we rushed in, four women and … four women, myself included, picked her up and her leg was completely backward. Her front right leg. We hustled her out, got her to a safe environment and I ran to my home to call the vet to come and stop a life. And while I was waiting for her to return my call, I was just weeping and saying, “God, I just don’t understand. This is senseless. This is a baby horse. This is senseless. Lord, help me understand.” In minutes was down, the vet was there and we walked into the corral and this horse was, not only was her leg in a normal position, she’s standing on it. We had prayed over the horse before the vet got there. She did an examination and the horse started walking.
KIM: And all she could surmise was that maybe the blade was dislocated, the shoulder, and when you moved her it was jostled back into place. No, but–
SID: That sounds like what a vet or a doctor would say.
KIM: So anyhow, I released my staff and–
SID: You knew better.
KIM: I did know better. And as I was following the vet back to her car and putting her things away, the Holy Spirit said, “Pursue her. This is about her. There’s much more.” And I looked at my friend’s beautiful face in the twilight, and I asked her, “Honey, are you okay?”
KIM: And she just started to mourn and grieve, and her head fell into her hands and she was just groaning and sobbing over just wave after wave of this just gut wrenching grief. And after probably 30 minutes, she finally said, she still had her hands in her face and she said, “I have made such a disaster out of my life. I didn’t know what to do. And so I made up my mind and when you called me tonight, I was sitting on the bed and I was holding a gun to my head, and I was trying to pull the trigger and I never needed someone to call me more. And then you did.”
KIM: And there in the twilight, the Lord allowed me to see that my call to end a life became his call to save a life. And this is the wild perspective of our God, and if we will trust him to keep moving forward, step for step, the wreckage around me does not change his perfect plan, and I can trust him for every single step. This is his wild perspective and he’s calling those who are his to trust him every step of the way.
SID: When I get to heaven, I’ll understand it all. In the meantime, God, I know you’re a loving God and I know everything that’s messed up in my life you’re turning around for good, so I’m through with my pity party.
KIM: Yeah.
SID: Kim’s grandfather taught her wisdom that few people on Earth, I mean have ever heard of. I’ll tell you this, it’s saved her life and it also is going to save your life. We’ll be right back.
Our Guest Steven Bancarz
SID: Steven, on the outside, you had it made. On the inside? You’re coming apart at the seams. So, how in the world that you get free?
STEVEN: The Bible says, “Be sure your sins will find you out,” and my secret sins started catching up to me. It reached a point where I really had to start confessing the sin I was suppressing and hiding from people in my life. So, I confessed sin to people. It was the first time I was really looking in a mirror and coming to terms with my own brokenness, “Wow. I really am a slave to sin. I really am deprived. I really am twisted on the inside,” and I was broken. I was really broken. My mother, my Christian mother who was praying for me vigilantly the entire time I’m in this movement. She says, “Are you ready to give your life to the Lord yet?”
STEVEN: I was like, “Okay.” I mean, I had intuitions about Jesus that I was suppressing when I was in the New Age Movement. Every New Age teacher goes out of their way to try and account for Jesus. Never Buddha or Muhammad, but for Jesus, they always have the new explanation about what His ministry really was. That was always a red flag to me. I had a soft spot for him, so I was like, “Okay, Jesus, if you’re real, I want more of you. I want you as you actually are. I’m not going to fit you into this New Age paradigm anymore.”
STEVEN: A few weeks went by and nothing really changed in my life until I confessed another round of sin that was worse than the first one, and that’s really when I bottomed out. I had nothing left. I had no strength left. I had nothing good in me. I was a wreck. I realized I’m not fit to be lord of my own life anymore. I went outside on the back balcony of my house, my stupid 4,000 square foot house I was living in, and I just fell at the feet of the Lord and I was weeping.
STEVEN: It was the first time I was actually repenting. I had this conviction, I hadn’t just wronged people. I’d sinned against the Holy God and I was weeping before Him, apologizing to Him, reaching out to Him. I didn’t know what was going to happen. I was just giving Him everything that I had. When I did this, I felt His presence enter in on the horizon in front of me. I felt Him enter in and this presence engulfed me.
SID: As you’re saying this, I can feel the presence of God. Can you? Some of you in the audience and you at home? Go ahead.
STEVEN: Right. Yeah. So, His presence comes in and it starts engulfing me and it starts filling me at the same time. It’s a personal presence that is self-authenticating. I knew when I was in this presence that this was the Jesus of the New Testament. This is the Jesus I was suppressing in unrighteousness. All I could stay in my head during the [ ], during this time, was “Jesus is Lord.”
STEVEN: It’s so simple. He’s the Son of God. I was making it so complex. It’s the simple thing. Jesus is Lord. What really stuck out to me, Sid, which wrecked me, it really broke me. The Lord showed me how creation was responding to Him. When He was there, I could hear and detect in the Spirit that the sounds of nature, the crickets, the leaves on the trees, the sound of the wind was glorifying Him. All of nature was crying out and I was detecting that. I picked that up in the Spirit.
SID: I believe God knew you needed to have that. Am I right?
STEVEN: I needed to have that because I believed that nature was God and that I was God; and He was showing me, “No, even nature itself knows who I am.” I thought to myself, “If nature itself recognizes Jesus is Lord, who am I to deny Him?” I went back into my house after and I was filled with the Holy Spirit. I had all these light bulbs going off in my head showing me the New Age Movement is a demonic deception set up strategically to lead people away from the experience, the born again experience I just had.
STEVEN: From that day forward, I never wrote another New Age article. I quit my job overnight, sold my house, sold my car, made an apology video online, apologizing saying, “I’m really sorry, guys. I’m no longer writing New Age articles, and I’m actually a born again Christian now. So, I just want to share with you my story and my testimony.”
SID: So, you were able to tell hundreds of thousands of New Agers that Jesus is Lord. But then these demons, they didn’t want you doing this, and they came back and hit you again. What happened?
STEVEN: Yeah, there was demonic attack going on in my life. I was having night terrors. I was having nightmares. I was having things fall in my house randomly. It like there was a demonic fester in the atmosphere in my house. What the Holy Spirit started to show me and reveal to me was, “The reason why you’re being attacked, the reason why you’re being oppressed, even though you’re walking with Me, is because you are giving legal ground and legal right to these demons by having occult and New Age paraphernalia in your house.”
SID: So, what did you do with all this paraphernalia?
STEVEN: Well, I had a bonfire. I put them all together, I burnt them all. I threw all my objects, my trinkets, my jewelry, even my clothing, my idols, I threw it all in the garbage. As soon as I did this, there is instant spiritual breakthrough in clarity in my head. Praise God.
SID: The sad thing is, this New Age movement is invading the church. You mentioned that the Pew survey showed 61% of professional Christians are involved in one or more New Age practices or beliefs. I want to know what these practices are. We’ll be right back
Our Guest Kynan Bridges
SID: You know, there’s a popular word and it’s almost … it kind of bounces off of you but it’s an important word. It’s called breakthrough. Tell me what breakthrough means based on the Bible, based on what God has shown you.
KYNAN: You know, breakthrough is a very powerful concept in the Bible. I believe that a breakthrough is when the power, purpose and presence of God bursts forth in someone’s life and transforms their lives forever.
SID: Well, you not only teach from the word of God, but from hands on experience.
KYNAN: Yes.
SID: You desperately needed a breakthrough when you were starting in ministry. How bad were things?
KYNAN: Very bad. I even questioned whether or not I was supposed to pastor. Because you know, sea bites sometimes. I had a lot of sea bites and I was wounded and hurt and a lot of times, ministers don’t … they’re not honest with themselves when they’re burnt out, but I was burnt out and I said, “God, I don’t even know what I’m supposed to be doing anymore.” I can remember coming home after a very tough time evangelizing and my wife and I were in the living room and she looks at me and I didn’t realize that she was as prophetic as she is, but she said, “What do you see?” I said, “I see you.”
SID: I would have done the same.
KYNAN: I mean, what do you mean what do I see? She said, “No Kynan. What do you see?” I said, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I was discouraged, I was frustrated. She said, “What do you see?” I said, “I don’t know.” Then finally the light bulb came on. I began to prophesy. I said, “I see women and children getting saved. I see young people coming to the Lord. I see nations being discipled. I see crack addicts coming off the street.” What was happening in that moment is that God’s purpose was breaking through in my life. I was getting a revelation of what heaven intended for my life, which looked different from my situation.
KYNAN: As I began to prophesy, the atmosphere began to shift and all of a sudden, I tapped into that breaker anointing which I’ll talk about in a moment. That next Sunday, we had the largest service we had ever had in the history of our church because things shifted. A lot of people are waiting for as shift to happen in heaven, but heaven is already open. The earth needs to shift because when your mind shifts and you tap into what God has already promised you, then you enter into the place I call manifestation.
SID: Talking about breakthrough, tell me about a healing breakthrough with the person with cerebral palsy.
KYNAN: Yeah this is a very powerful testimony. I was in California doing a revival meeting. It was a lot of warfare leading up to that meeting and we were in the night meeting and a woman comes in with cerebral palsy of course from birth and she’s had her whole life, has not been able to function normally her whole life and they bring her into the sanctuary. Now one of the things I think is important Sid is that if we’re going to see the miraculous, we have to have an attitude of expectation. Because the attitude of expectancy is the atmosphere for miracles. So, what happens is that this woman comes in and she comes to the altar. Her son brings her and she said, “What do you want God to do for you?” She’s like, “I want God to heal me. I want him to touch me.” I could feel her faith.
KYNAN: I know what Jesus meant when he said he saw their faith. You can see people’s faith. As I was praying for the woman, all I did was this. I said, “You know what? You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.” I didn’t realize it then but I was activating the anointing that was already on the inside of her. See, Christ lives on the inside of us. See, when we want a breakthrough, when God can breakthrough in you, he can breakthrough for you. This is so important.
KYNAN: As I’m whispering this in her ear, I said, “You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.” Every time I said that she took a step. When I would say it again she would take another step and then another step and eventually she started running throughout the sanctuary and the faith of the people just exploded. Sid, the glory came into that building and that was the beginning of many miracles that night.
SID: You also talk about putting a demand on heaven.
KYNAN: Yes.
SID: Explain that what that means to you.
KYNAN: You know, just like in economics there’s supply and demand. God has an economy. Heaven is a system, not just a place and when we look at the kingdom of God, that’s why the Bible says ask and you shall receive. In other words, when I ask, I’m placing a demand on heaven’s supply. I was praying one day and as I was praying I saw a vision. In this vision, there were two golden double doors and in the vision, I pressed through the double doors and as I pressed through the double doors, there was an endless storehouse. I mean there was gold, there were rubies, there were all kinds of precious metals. There were four angels guarding this storehouse.
KYNAN: As I came out of the vision, the Lord spoke to me. He said, “You just stepped into the treasury of heaven where there is unlimited supply. Heaven has no restrictions. Heaven has no limitations.”
SID: Boy there’s such a presence of God on the statement you just made.
KYNAN: Yes. Heaven has no limitations. The only thing that limits us is the demand that we place. I just feel this so strongly. I feel like there’s somebody watching right now you need to place a demand on heaven. Listen. You’re not waiting on God. He’s waiting on you. He has already made it available to you. That transformation, that miracle, that salvation, that healing, it’s yours. You need to go where the table is spread. The Bible says…..
SID: So, when someone, Kynan, says “I’m expecting. I’m waiting on you God. I’m waiting. I’m waiting,” there’s a more aggressive stance than that passive stance of waiting on God.
KYNAN: Yes.
SID: Go ahead.
KYNAN: Okay Matthew 11:12 says that the kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent take it by force. Christianity is not a spectator sport. You can’t see the kingdom manifested from the bleachers. You have to engage heaven. You have to engage the realm of the spirit. Let me give you an example. Imagine if you found out that there was $5 billion behind the door in your back room that you never go in to. Would you stand at the door and say, “Lord, open this door if it be your holy will.”
SID: No, I’d knock it over.
KYNAN: You would knock it down because why? What’s behind the door is more valuable than the door itself. What God has on the other side of your hindrance, on the other side of your wall is greater than the limitation and it’s time for the church to burst through and see the manifestation of what God has planned. Yeah.
SID: I tell you what. I’ve been a believer a long time and what you’re saying with the presence of God on it, I’m ready to knock that door down. Now, we read about unusual miracles in the Bible like God sending a fish with money in its mouth but these unusual miracles are once again erupting. I want to learn about the raven giving money to a woman and supernaturally she never struggled with finances again. We’ll be right back.
Our Guest David Herzog
DAVID: Yeah; something is going on. I-it’s a combination of the time we’re in, the Jewish people that are there. You would think Germany would be the last country; [PHOTO ENDS] but without Germany getting revival, Europe in general will not get a European-wide move of God. And because they’re main engine for the move of God, the Lord showed me they’re the heart. And because they caused such destruction, there was a 70-year curse. I was in Austria last year, and I’d prophesied – didn’t even know there was a prophecy about this, and I said, “The Lord shows me after 70 years, um, revival!” And they said, “Did you know that’s what our prophets have been saying, that there’s a 70-year curse?” Like Israel had a 70-year curse; after 70 years, they’d be freed from captivity, and it was. And so the 70 years at the end of World War II just happened a few weeks ago in May; and I was there, at the 70-year mark! I get into my hotel, and I see all these shows about Hitler and World War II, and I’m thinking, “Why would the Germans put this on there? They usually don’t like to talk about this.” And the Israeli President came to Germany, as a friend of Israel to say “We are friends”, “We are best friends”; and the Lord told me, “It’s going to all shift now; and even the shame that Germany” – and I’m seeing this as being a Jewish person, “but the shame that’s been on Germany is about to be lifted. Their shame will no longer be all those Germans that killed the Jews. It’s going to be those Germans who help Israel, who love the Jews, who love revival, who love the glory. Their shame is being lifted, and they are going to be one of the main spreaders of revival, and the best friends of Israel and Jewish people.” That’s coming right now; the 70-year mark just occurred. Watch Germany; you ‘re going to start to see major moves of God.
SID:
what is God showing you about judgment, revival, etc.?
DAVID:
Yeah. I believe, when I asked the Lord about it, because you always hear
prophecies, okay, “It’s all bad”, “It’s all good”.
SID:
Right.
DAVID:
The Lord told me it – “It depends on you and your house, and where you
are.” You know if you ‘re in sin, it’s not going to be good! If you ‘re in
revival, even if you ‘re in the midst of a country that’s being shaken, YOU
could be blessed in the midst of it. So the Lord showed me not to go into fear.
Do what He – you know, Joshua and Caleb; “There’s giants in the
land!” Yeah, in America, it’s bad in the natural. And you could tune-in
prophetically and only hear 2nd Heaven chatter. So what I say is, 2nd Heaven
chatter is you can have – be just prophetic enough to know the bad things that
the enemy’s planning, and you think, “Well that’s it; that’s the
truth.” But then you can go higher into the 3rd Heaven, and see God’s plan
to COUNTERACT the devil’s plans, and you stay with THAT. So some people are –
SID:
So – so what IS God’s plan? I mean I want to know –
DAVID:
[CHUCKLES]
SID:
this 3rd – you ‘ve been in the 3rd Heaven, and you ‘ve heard the chatter there!
You ‘ve heard the chatter [CHUCKLES] where the devil is, –
DAVID:
Yes.
SID: about all the “doom and gloom”.
DAVID:
Yeah.
SID:
I want to know what’s God saying.
DAVID:
Well I believe “the books [have been] opened”, like Daniel said. The
books of the nations are open; and America’s up – at the court, like a national
–
SID:
Um hm.
DAVID:
and what It’s hanging in the balance, and it depends on the saints. Nothing’s
set in stone; it depends on the saints. If we pray, seek His face, win the
lost, win the Jew first, revival, repentance, we can shift it; and we can have
the biggest move of God America’s ever seen. But if the Church just sleeps
during the harvest that’s about to hit, then we can lose everything. So it’s
one of those all-or-nothing times we have to REALLY go for it, right now. And
it was like that in the 1929 crash; it was like that in many times in U.S.
history. It was the worst of the worst, and God flipped it. So I believe God
can flip it, in the middle. What looks like the worst thing that could hit
America, could be the best; but it depends; it’s conditional, you know. And I
believe it could be even each state could be, some states could be totally in
devastation; others could be totally revival and blessing.
SID:
Do you – do you have any be beyond “it’s conditional”, and beyond
what you hope!
DAVID:
[CHUCKLES]
SID:
What do you think’s going to happen?
DAVID: That’s a tough one. I have my – I have my inclinations. I think
what’s going to happen towards the end of this year, there’s going to be some
interesting events that will hit the United States, that will REALLY wake-up
the Church, and revival will start happening. Then the enemy will try to do
something to throw us of, like a surprise something. And then if the Church
keeps going with the move of God, we can shift it, and have revival. But I
believe i-it’s like it’s going to be good and bad colliding together at the
same time.
Our Guest David Herzog
SID: Welcome to “Something More” [CHUCKLES]! And I’m going to tell you , you are going to get “Something More” on this show. This is Sid Roth with my friend, the NEW –
SID:
Dr. David Herzog!
DAVID:
[CHUCKLES]
SID:
“My son, the doctor!” [LAUGHS]
DAVID:
[LAUGHS]
SID:
That’s what your father would say, right?
DAVID:
There you go! Yeah.
SID:
Um, but um, and by the way, for the record, David just told me it’s an
“earned” doctorate.
DAVID:
[LAUGHS]
SID: David, I just got an email from you about y-you
‘re minding your own business, you ‘re having one of you celebrate the biblical
festivals because you believe they’re portals to Heaven.
DAVID:
Um hm.
SID: and your worship leader messed you up! What
happened?
DAVID:
Well we’re doing our Pentecost conference like we always do, expecting God’s
glory to come, and miracles, and salvation; and it’s the first night, and
suddenly he just drops dead! The worship leader drops dead right during the first
half-hour!
SID:
Now h-how – how’s that for a start of a conference? [LAUGHS]
DAVID:
And I had to speak after that too!
SID:
[LAUGHS] Oh wouldn’t you – I hope you had a good message! No I’m just teasing!
DAVID:
[LAUGHS]
SID:
[LAUGHS]
DAVID:
So – so I like, “Lord, he needs to get raised from the dead because it’ll
affect my meeting!” No, that wasn’t the – and so he – he dropped and –
[VIDEO BEGINS] so people thought he was like slain in the spirit or something,
and after a few minutes, no he’s dead! They ran up to him, and so I told the
worship leader, the second guy in charge that was backup, I said, “Keep
leading the worship. Don’t stop, because if you stop, everyone’s going to panic
and just go into ‘Oh my God!'” So I said, “Keep it going”, so everyone
kept worshipping, and then a crowd of people went up and started to praying for
him. Some others did some CPR that knew how to do it on him. And we had about
oh, maybe 10 of us praying for him, you know. I was one of the ones praying,
and commanding his spirit to come back in his body. And he came back! [VIDEO
ENDS] After a few minutes, his pulse started coming back. We felt a faint pulse
–
SID:
Um hm.
DAVID:
and so I told the people, “His pulse is back!”, everyone cheered,
“But keep praying”; then he died again. And he –
SID:
Now did you have a medic there that would –
DAVID:
Yeah.
SID:
say he died, or it – well how did you know?
DAVID:
Well yeah, we had two. We had – first we had this expert CPR training people,
then we had the paramedics come in û from the hospital, and he was
foaming – before the paramedics came, he was foaming at the mouth! He was cold
dead–dead, –
SID:
Hm.
DAVID:
and we kept praying. Then they came in the meeting; they went on the stage, did
their work, and we just kept praying! We – we kept worshiping, and singing the
songs, so they were surprised. They were looking, and they said they felt the
presence of God as soon as they walked in – they’re not Believers and we kept
praying, praying, praying. Finally at the end they told us – [VIDEO ENDS] not
to go near the body, so we kept praying from a distance. And he was dead –
dead-dead – and the paramedic was to – supposed to do like electric shock, and
try to do something on him, and nothing worked. And we go, “Just keep
praying everybody; keep praying!”, and a voice told the paramedic – who’s
not a Believer – “Try to bring him back one more time.” Because we were
all praying, he thought “Maybe we should”, and he came back at the
very end. And they said he’d died of double-heart – “widow’s heart
attack”, the “widow maker” they call it, and they said they
don’t see people come back from that.
and they said they’re all un-Believers except for one; they’ve never
seen this in their work, that someone comes back from a double heart attack –
dies twice with a “widow maker” – and they could only attribute it to
the prayers.
SID:
So then did they whisk him off to the hospital –
DAVID:
Yeah.
SID:
to make sure he was okay?
DAVID:
When they were whisking him off, he came back –
SID:
Hm!
DAVID:
from the dead, right at the last minute and an hour later, he was up talking!
And they’ve never seen that, because the “widow maker”– you know
that’s the big one – you don’t come back from that, especially –
SID:
Um hm.
DAVID:
if it happens twice in the same hour! So they were just so – the whole staff,
everyone shocked, all the nurses, all the paramedics. And usually doctors try
to like disprove if you say God did it. They were all saying it had to be the
prayers; it wasn’t just a little CPR here and there.
SID:
Now you have shared this story with our audience previously, but to me, it is
so sensational. -[PHOTO BEGINS]
SID:
You and your wife were having meetings in France, many years ago; and France is
NOT known [PHOTO ENDS] as a RED-HOT area for the glory of [CHUCKLES] God! and God spoke to you to do something that
would affect your entire ministry. What did He say?
DAVID:
So I decided to go to Israel; God kept telling me, “Go to Israel”,
and I thought, “Why would I go to Israel? I’m a missionary to France! God
didn’t call me to Israel He called me to France!”
SID:
Um hm.
DAVID:
I’m there for one year, and God says, “Go to Israel”! Okay, so how am
I going to go to Israel? I had no money. The next – I said, “Lord, if it’s
Your will, I need $3,000 for my wife and I to go”. It’s three weeks –
outreach, visit, everything – with my Bible school who I had graduated from;
they were going to meet me there. And the next day, my car sold for exactly
$3,000, so I knew; okay, I’m supposed to go. That money was supposed to be the
– sustain me on the mission field. Now I have no money, but I’m going to
Israel!
SID:
You know, you were really living on the edge back then!
DAVID:
Aw yeah, totally I mean, crazy.
