SID: Brian, we’re told to proclaim the kingdom of God mandate. What is the kingdom of God?

BRIAN: Well, the kingdom of God is doing what Jesus did. It’s the rule and reign of God coming on earth and just as Jesus did as He healed the sick, He cast out demons, He raised the dead, He brought the future into the present right now. It’s tangible. It’s the tangible presence of God and that everybody can walk in it.

And what I love about Jesus is He could have done this ministry all by Himself, but what did He do? He took 12 guys, put His Spirit upon them, sent them out, and they began to proclaim the kingdom just as He did.

Now, not only did He do it with 12, He did it with 72 other nameless, faceless, disciples. This was probably men, women, children, and they were doing the same thing that Jesus was doing. They were bringing the kingdom with demonstration, not just proclamation.

SID: And speaking about going, we were told to go.

BRIAN: That’s right, Matthew 10. “As you go, preach this Gospel. Heal the sick, cast out demons, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, fully receive, fully give.” And I love that first part. It says, “As you go.” That means as you go on your journey.

So, I don’t know where you go, but I go to Walmart. I go to the movies. I go to Wendy’s. I go all these normal places, business meetings, soccer games, and in every one of those mundane places we go, that’s the mission of the kingdom, right there. So it’s the body being Jesus with skin on.

SID: By the way, you had that great lightning of God hit you when Blaine Cook prayed for you. You’re just someone special.

BRIAN: Sid, it’s just not true. I’m a graphic designer. I’m just a guy just trying to love Jesus. My heart is to take people along the way and equip them to do exactly what Jesus told us to do. And it’s really not that hard. It’s simple. But it’s taking that step of faith, or we spell it R-I-S-K.

Right? And what I’ve understood is that risk opens the door to the impossible.

SID: You had a recent trip to South Africa. Tell me about the IT person, Carrie.

BRIAN: Oh, Sid, I love this story because this shows about the ordinary, everyday person. Carrie came on with me with a team of about 30 people. And she’s an IT specialist. And she had been in the meetings doing stuff, and this was the first time she’s done this stuff. Well, we had a break one day. So she was going to the Pick and Pay, which is like a Walmart.

She’s just going through the line and she sees the lady at the cash register, and she goes, “Hey, can I pray for you for anything? Do you have any pain?” The lady busts out crying and starts, “Yes, I need healing.” Carrie prays for her right on the spot and she gets completely healed.

And then guess what happens? The lady says, “Can you pray for some more people?” So Carrie says okay. So this lady took her around to the back, gave them a room, put four people in there and she’s praying for these four people. Well, she’s amazed by that because all four of them get healed.

Now, what happens next is pretty interesting. So she opens the door thinking that she’s through. And she looks down the line and there’s a queue of 20 women waiting for her to pray. Sid, that day, all 20 of those women were completely healed and she was equipping them as she had just been equipped.

SID: Do you believe you can equip any believer to walk in the supernatural, have miracles wherever they go, and then lead the people to the Lord? To me, that’s the purpose of a miracle. You demonstrate the kingdom then you’ve earned the right to present the king. Ordinary people with an extraordinary God doing the same words that Jesus did. And by the way, the Bible says you’ll even do greater.

Now, when we come back, I need you to explain the thing that revolutionized your ministry when you came to the realization … Well, you’ll explain it when we come right back.

SID:  I want to conclude this with Psalm 122, verse 6. Of all the nations in the world, there is only one nation that God puts a specific blessing on. Israel! If you bless Israel, you will be blessed. He doesn’t say that about France. He doesn’t say that about England. Doesn’t say that about Australia. Doesn’t say it about the United States of America. Psalm 122:6 says: “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Thou shalt prosper that love thee.” And guess what? I looked up that word “prosper.” It doesn’t mean what most people think. Most people think “money,” I’ll get money if I pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Huh! It means something that money cannot purchase. It means in the Hebrew “heart peace.” Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. You shall have heart peace, God says, in a time, in a season we’re living in, when yet once more I’m going to shake this earth. That’s what you see happening right now. A thousand fall at your side, ten thousand at the other side. It shall not come near you. You’re going to be in heart peace because you pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Now I wonder if any of you have a question you would like to ask Sandy. Would you mind coming up here, please. I know, it’s sort of like a salvation [call], close your eyes, raise your hand, everyone stand up. (laughing) You know, same thing. Would you mind coming up here and make it because you’ll be in more of the light and come closer to me “cause you’ll be in more light. Okay.

QUESTIONER #1:  I just wondered if in the end time what nations are the sheep nations? Does that identify what those nations are? Because my understanding is that the nations shall turn against Israel. So are there any good ones left we need to move to? (laughter) Please?

SID:  In my opinion, I’m going to answer it first and then Sandy can, in my opinion the safest nation in the world for you and for you is to be where God calls you. Because it doesn’t, flat doesn’t matter. I agree with you, it says in Zechariah “all nations will turn against Jerusalem.” I guess it’s a matter of time. I want the United States to hold out—

QUESTIONER #1:  I do too, I do too.

SID:  — just until! (laughs) Yeah, you follow. But yeah, I think because basically “all” means all to me. How about you, Sandy?

SANDY:  That’s how I understand it. I do believe that there will be very possibly areas, you know pockets where, where, where God, God will bless communities that are serving Him and worshipping Him and maybe Christian communities in the future but my understanding is that no nation will stand with Israel in the end, only the Church, the true Church from among all nations.

QUESTIONER #1:  So would the Church be protected then?

SANDY:  Some.

SID:  But you know I like what she just said. I like the idea of there will be pockets of believers that the glory will be so strong that someone’ll walk, walk, walk in with a bomb and won’t be able to penetrate that glory. That’s what I believe. Thank you.

QUESTIONER #2:  Hi, Sandy. I just recently returned from a visit to the West Bank on September 15th so I personally witnessed the “pollywood?” Is that how you pronounce it?

SANDY:  —”paliwood”

QUESTIONER #2:  —that you spoke of. And my concern is when you have that type of propaganda, that message that goes out and its, and it’s very strategic, very real, how do you lovingly share that with believers with, and, and who are really taken in by what they perceive to be an atrocity on the Palestinian people by the Israeli, uh you know, government and by Jews in particular. How, how, how do we craft our message? What, what can we do? Besides pray?

SID: Mike, you say that one of the most relevant scriptures at this moment in history is Psalm 2.

MIKE: Right.

SID: Why?

MIKE: I would say the most relevant prophetic scripture, meaning prophesying what’s coming, in Psalm 2, I think it is the most, and I’m a pretty eager student of End Time prophecy, the various chapters, I think this is the most relevant one for this hour of history, particularly in the western world, but really the whole world. And it’s because King David described a time where the kings of the earth and the rulers of the culture would raise their fist and challenge him, and say we’re going to drive the influence of the Word of God out of the culture, and we challenge you, the kings of the earth, across the earth.

SID: I see why you say that.

MIKE: It’s happening right now like no time in history. And I wrote a book on it called “God’s Answer to the Coming Crisis”. The crisis, there is a spiritual resistance against the Word of God and many in the church are becoming silent on the issue of the authority of the Word of God, the issues that are prevalent in our society and our culture to take a stand. And then, so Psalm 2, David describes the crisis, then he describes God the Father’s answer to the crisis. It’s remarkable. I’m not going to go into it right now, but a great revival is coming. Then it describes Jesus’s answer to the Father’s answer. And then after that, King David comes along and says, “Did you hear what the king said to the Father and what the Father said back, and what the son said to the Father?” And it gives us Holy Spirit insight to how God feels and what he’s doing, what Jesus is doing, how we’re to respond, and how intense the crisis is going to be. But here’s an overall message. We’re not to be shocked by the rising tide against the Word of God. We’re not to be intimidated, we’re not to be fearful. We’re to be bold and strong, and clear about what’s happening, and Psalm 2 lays it out masterfully. But if you don’t really know this psalm and you read it real quick, you won’t catch it, because I read it for years and didn’t quite catch it, but it’s really got depth to it.

SID: Tell me about the greatest outpouring of God’s spirit, a neck was just healed, the greatest outpouring of God’s spirit, greater even than the Book of Acts. What do you see? Tell me about it.

MIKE: I’ll give you the shortest answer of the biggest answer and I’ve got a big one. I believe that the miracles of Moses, the ten plagues of Egypt, and the miracles of the Apostles, the Book of Exodus, the Book of Acts, are going to be combined and multiplied on a global level. And I’ve got a number of Bible verses to back this up. The miracles of Moses, they were miracles in the created order, you know, where the sun and the darkness, and the water turned to blood, and the miracles of the Book of Acts, healing, salvations, they’re going to be combined and multiplied on a global level. And again, I could talk in a couple of hours on this subject using the Bible, but I’m just giving you my short answer.

SID: You know, there is a dumbing down of an area that you say is very important to God. This dumbing down unfortunately is in many churches and it’s called holiness. Tell me about what God feels is holy?

MIKE: I call it happy holiness because it’s not drudgery. We don’t pay the price to be holy, but we agree with God’s heart that’s filled with the light and joy, and goodness, and we agree with his leadership, and it liberates our heart. It’s the place of safety. It’s the place of vibrancy in our spirit, too. Holiness is the gift of God when we pursue this, but it’s been presented as an old fashioned drudgery that we kind of grit our teeth and agree with God, like, no, he’s the most beautiful, delightful being. His leadership is perfect. When we agree with him we get liberated from things that dull our spirit, that capture us, that steal the light out of our relationship with God. And so I call it happy holiness that’s based on enjoying God, delighting in his presence and delighting in God delighting in us.

SID: Pray right now, quickly, for first love to come back to those that want it. If you want your first love back, if you, studio audience, want your first love back, raise those holy hands to a holy God and you pray in the camera, please.

MIKE: Revelation, Chapter 2, Verse 4, Jesus said, “A great revival on Ephesus.” He said, “You have a great revival, but this I have against you. You don’t love me like you used to.” Revelation, and that’s the first love passage. Father, I ask you by the Holy Spirit, right now, to revive hearts. I ask for a restoration of the vibrancy and the adventure of restored love. I ask for the miracle of the recovered heart of a believer who feels dulled and bored in their walk with you. I ask for the adventure. I ask you for the delight, the exhilaration of when God moves on our heart for us to love God. So Holy Spirit, we know it takes God to love God. And I ask you, Holy Spirit, move on us, reveal the beauty of Jesus, reveal the delight of who you are and awaken our heart to love you the first and the great response of the human heart in this age, in Jesus’s name. Amen.

Our Guest David Hernandez

without comments

SID: Now David, I’m excited because you’re a young man and you are so filled with the Spirit of God. And you came to this revelation. That’s fine. That was, how did you develop this relationship, this intimacy with the Holy Spirit?

DAVID: Well this is one of my favorite parts. I like the how-to because I would often hear sermons and I would go, that’s awesome, but tell me how I can do that, too.

SID: All right. There are even books on having a relationship with the Holy Spirit, but they don’t tell you how to.

DAVID: I mean, I’m the type of person, like you have to give me something I can apply right now, immediately, I can shut off this program, put this book down, go into my room and start acting it out.

SID: Right.

DAVID: So I want to talk about two things: silence and stillness. You see, the flesh, our carnal side, it can do many things and it will not put up a fight. You can sit in a worship service, it won’t put up a fight. You can watch a Christian broadcast, it won’t put up a fight. You can read the Word, atheists read the Word, cult leaders read the Word, but they don’t see transformation. But the moment you begin to seek the Lord, the flesh starts to put up a fight. Why? Because it’s in the seeking that the flesh dies. It’s in the seeking of the Spirit that the flesh dies. This is why, one of the reasons why the Holy Spirit wants to be sought. And so I had to learn this somewhat the hard way and I’ll just give you the short version, because I had pressed in to seek the Holy Spirit. There was a time in my life where there was swift movement to my spirituality and then I felt like I hit this wall, and I said I can’t go any further.

SID: By the way, you know David, a lot of people relate to what you’re saying. They’ve hit a wall, but they’ve never gone further. They just stayed there. It’s sort of they’re stuck as a ten-year-old.

DAVID: I’m going to say some things that are a little harsh, but some people need to hear it. The true proof that you believe in prayer is that you actually pray, and the only reason we don’t pray is because we don’t believe that it will work. And so, I mean, God made us promise. He said, “Seek me with all your heart and your body.” That’s a guarantee and if you’ll believe that you’ll seek him. If you don’t believe that, you won’t seek him. But the reward is him. He’s my great reward? Of course. So I found myself in that place. I hit that wall and I’m getting frustrated, but I moved beyond the frustration with the help of the Holy Spirit. I tried everything. I tried emotion. I tried to make up for in volume what I lacked in connection and I tried to connect with God with my emotion. He wouldn’t have it. I tried to use my intellect. I tried to use my passion. I tried to guilt God into a response, Lord, don’t you hear me, can’t you see me. But you see, intellect failed, emotion failed, willpower failed. “It’s not by power nor by might, but by my spirit,” says the Lord. So Matthew 6:6, Jesus says, “When you pray, go away, privately.” Private prayer is revealed in public power. If there is no public power it’s because there’s no private prayer. And so I began to seek the Lord privately.

SID: You know, that’s so good. You slipped right by there. I hope you heard what he said.

DAVID: And so then I had to learn the harder thing, which was stillness, and this is difficult. Psalm 46:10: “Be still and know that I am God.” Be still and know. Stillness precedes revelation, which means—

SID: I don’t see too many things in the movies and TV where people don’t say anything. We’re taught to fill empty space.

DAVID: Right and we’re uncomfortable with silence because the moment we’re silent we start to notice all the chaos within. And we say things like, well I didn’t feel this way until I began to pray. It’s not that it came up and we said, well the enemy attacked me when I started to pray. That’s not the case. That inner chaos was always there. You just were never quiet enough to recognize it. No wonder you’re walking around with depression and anxiety, and frustration, and confusion. That inner chaos is constantly going. But when you go to pray, it’s not, it doesn’t show up, it’s revealed. And so that’s why it used to take me four hours to get into the presence of the Lord to where I sensed his presence, not always physical manifestation and tangible power, but always the sense. We’re always to sense his presence, 24/7 awareness. I can tell you with all honesty, and I would not say this if it wasn’t true, I think you know that about me, there is hardly five minutes that go by where I’m not aware of the Holy Spirit, hardly five minutes where he doesn’t cross my mind in some way, where I don’t sense some communication. You might call it retreating within myself and fellowshipping with him.

SID: You know what, I need you to explain a little bit about this silence.

Our Guest Tony Kemp

TONY:  Actually in the original language when Jesus said “lay hands upon the sick and they shall recover,” the Greek word for “recover” means that from the moment hands are laid on you, you will get better and better until you are completely well. Is there another change? Father, touch joints, touch bones and bring her healing to completion and Lord, let the pain fade away in Jesus’ name. You get to stay right there. And we’re going to let you, because you’re the oldest, sit. She said “Oh, yeah! But schooch over so she can jump in with you because she’s tiny! I was that size when I was born!

AUDIENCE:  (LAUGHS)

TONY:  Stretch forth your hand towards those with back conditions and touch, touch somebody who needs a healing. That’s all right. Just go ahead and touch them. Father in the name of Jesus we release healing grace into every person standing. Be healed in the mighty name of Jesus. You may be seated. I’m going to do this real quick and then we’re going to do some praise and worship. Uh, who’s having pressure behind an eye? Stand up and you’ll be healed right now. Pressure behind an eye. Stand up. You’ll be healed right now. Do you have that pressure now? (woman speaking without microphone) Do you have that pressure now?

WOMAN #7:  I don’t feel it right now.

TONY:  You don’t feel it. And sister, you stood because of?  Okay. So let’s stretch forth your hands and let’s pray for their healing. In the name of Jesus I curse these eye diseases! Die, dissipate, and disappear from their bodies! I command glaucoma. Disappear! I command the pressure and all the reason for the pressure be gone and stay gone! And Lord this degeneration disappear! I command total restoration of their eyes now in Jesus name! Lift up your hands and give God a praise!

AUDIENCE:  Whooo!  YAY!!  (CLAPPING)

TONY:  Now, yeah, go ahead praise him. This is the moment some of you I know have been waiting for. All of you who want to supernaturally lose weight starting tonight stand to your feet right now. And I don’t want any really skinny people to stand up! (laughs) If you’re like really, really skinny please don’t stand up. Just sit down and stand up on the inside. Somebody next to you might slap you. Here’s what I want you to do for real serious. Here’s… I want you to do this. I want you check and see how tight you are all the way around and memorize it. Um huh. Check and see how tight your pants are, your shirt is, all that kind of… see how tight. Memorize how much room you got and how much room you ain’t got. But don’t tell nobody right now. Just do that. Let me know when you got it. You got it? Are you ready? Here’s my instruction. Number one: If you’ll repent of the way that you’ve been eating wrong and tell God, “Lord forgive me” and you promise to eat right, I’m telling ya that some of y’all its going to happen in just a few moments. So go ahead and do your prayer of repentance, æcause some of us… you know I’m still repenting. Hmmm! C’mon now. But I’m doing a lot better but I’m still repenting. Begin to pray your prayer of repentance and then we going to pray for you. I was at Tennessee. A man was there. He was a, uh, praise leader. He was wearing a suit coat. It was unbuttoned. The Lord gave me a word of knowledge that he was causing people to supernaturally lose weight. And he burst out into laughter saying “Pastor, I think I’m one of those guys.” He comes up and he’s able to button all four of his buttons. I was in Tennes… I was in, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, Mississippi, and a woman was there. She also had a coat. God supernaturally caused her to lose weight. She couldn’t button her buttons. But then supernaturally she was able to button her buttons. And listen, this is funny. Lord forgive me. But we, and my wife will tell you, we’ve seen people who had their stomach out here and it would shrink and they’d have to grab their pants and their underwear.

AUDIENCE:  (LAUGHTER)
