Our Guest David Martin
Can you say that with me? Accomplish His will on the earth. Amen. So important, not your will; His will be done. Well, what I want to do is let’s look at what is the will of God because it’s, I think significant to recognize, I think it was brother Hagan that taught me this; but faith begins where the will of God is known. So for you to get out of the tank, the limited atmosphere, the environment that you’ve lived in and go into the bigness of God’s sea with unlimited ability, no boundaries; you have to have again, the foundation. What is God’s will? So if you know God’s will then again, you can operate in faith and that’s what we want to do. Again, laying the foundation here for the operation of the gifts of the Spirit. So what I’ve done here and we’re going to look at this in a bit more detail, but I’ve listed here, five “I will’s” and I thought, “Oh no” because that was Satan’s downfall, his five “I will’s” in Isaiah 14 and then God came back with His five “I will’s”, but these are five, what I see, “I will’s”. This is God’s will for you and I. That when we know the will of God, again, faith can operate. So, what is His will? Well, number one, to do what Jesus did and greater. To have a life and have it more abundant. I’m going to look at that in a minute here. We’ll go through each one of these individually, but that’s what Jesus said, “I come that you might have life and have it more abundant” and that His will be done on earth. Remember that, the Lord’s Prayer, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven”? And then to have dominion on the earth, and then to reign in life. Again, as I was putting this PowerPoint together, I don’t usually do this, but this morning as I was ministering I recognized I forgot one of the most important of all of the “I will’s”. God’s will for your life. Again, when you know His will, then you can begin to operate at a higher level because you know His will. Well, I left out in my list here, one of the most important “I will’s” and that is from Timothy, and Paul writing to Timothy, and Paul said to Timothy, “God’s will is no man perish”. He will’s for all men to get saved, amen? I’m not sure how I missed that in my list here, but that is probably the number one will. That’s why Jesus came as the Messiah. John 3:16, “…whoever believes in Him would have everlasting life”, amen? So, His will is that people don’t die. His will is that people go to heaven and one of the ways that you’re going to rescue people out of the New Age and out of the occult and out of different cults and groups is by the demonstration of the gifts of the Spirit.
